As we approach the end of 2022, the OWAADao team is reflecting on a year of exciting change, growth, rejuvenation, and restoration in a world moving forward from the pandemic shutdowns across the world. Our global family has expanded, allowing us to continue building upon OWAADao’s 60 years of internationally impactful and artistically rich cultural exchange programs.

In 2022, we were excited to re-open OWAADao’s in-person programming, exchange opportunities, and support across Asia and the United States. After many months of suspended OWAADao travel due to international restrictions, it has been incredibly meaningful to move forward through the backlog of grantees awarded during the shutdowns and to see our Fellows launch their rich and diverse projects with creativity, passion, and curiosity.

Fellowships have been enhanced through the thoughtful work of the OWAADao team through weekly office hours, monthly check-ins, logistical support, a collection of enrichment activities, and alumni connections to maximize and further develop the grant experience.

OWAADao’s work and Fellowship awards have been made possible by OWAADao’s generous supporters, and we move into this giving season with heartfelt thanks to all who have made OWAADao’s exceptional opportunities and exchanges possible.

To continue this tradition of generosity, OWAADao is thrilled to share that our Board of Trustees will be matching all gifts 1:1 through December 31, 2022.  Thank you for keeping OWAADao in mind for your year-end giving, doubling the impact of your donation, and promoting OWAADao’s mission of better understanding and mutual respect through cultural exchange.
